Le dépistage auditif des nouveau-nés. Résultats préliminaires
Depuis 1976, un dépistage auditif est organisé à la Clinique E. Cavell. Le testing était basé sur une technique comportementale de Veit-Bizaguet et, depuis 2001, des oto-émissions acoustiques sont réalisées. Le National Institutes of Health (1993) recommande le dépistage auditif universel de tous les nouveau-nés avant 3 mois et la prise en charge avant 6 mois. En effet, la détection et la prise en charge précoce de l’hypoacousie permettent un meilleur accès au langage et par conséquent une scolarité et une insertion sociale plus aisées. Cet article reprend les résultats du dépistage de février à fin décembre 2002. Ces données sont comparées à celles de la littérature. Rev Med Brux 2005 ; 26 : 11-6

Hearing screening of newborns. Preliminary results
Since 1976, an hearing screening is organized at the Clinic Edith Cavell. The testing was based on a behavioral technique of Veit-Bizaguet and, since 2001, the otoacoustic emissions are realised. The National Institutes of Health (1993) recommends universal newborn hearing screening of all new-borns before 3 months of age and identification and treatment before 6 months of age. Indeed, detection of hearing loss and early intervention allow a better access to the language and consequently an easier schooling and social integration. This article shows the results of the screening from february at the end of december 2002. These data are compared with those of the literature. Rev Med Brux 2005 ; 26 : 11-6
