Etre " bleu " en 1945
Le bleu de 1945 fut le témoin d’événements historiques comme la réception par l’Université du Général de Gaulle, de Sir W. Churchill et de Sir A. Fleming. Mais 1945 connut aussi la fin de la guerre en Europe, la révélation au monde des horreurs nazies, la bombe atomique d’Hiroshima. Une extension de la définition de la notion de libre examen apparut suite à l’occupation nazie. Ce fut une année difficile pour le bleu en ce qui concerne les études et les moyens de subsistance mais elle fut fascinante, se terminant par la renaissance, après sept ans, de la grande fête estudiantine de la Saint-Verhaegen. Being a freshman in the year 1945
In 1945, the freshman was the witness of historical events such as the reception at the University of General de Gaulle, Sir W. Churchill and Sir A. Fleming. Other important events occured in that year : the end of the war in Europe, the revelation to the world of the nazi horours and the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. An extension of the principle of free thinking of facts and ideas appeared as a consequence of nazi occupation. The time was hard for the freshman concerning his studies and subsistance but the year 1945 was fascinating and came to an end with the revival, after seven years, of the grand student’s feast of Saint-Verhaegen.
