L’arrivée du Gardasil 9 sur le marché belge durant l’année 2017 comble un vide clinique important. Ce vaccin fournit maintenant une protection contre les cancers HPV induits au moins égal à celle du Cervarix, mais en y adjoignant une protection contre les verrues génitales induites par les types 6 et 11.

Abstract
The Nonavalent Gardasil 9 arrived on the Belgian market during 2017. It fulfills an important clinical gap: this vaccine provides indeed a protection against HPV induced cancer at least as good as Cervarix with the addition of the protection against HPV 6 and 11 associated genital warts.
